MEMORANDUM TO FACULTY, ADMINISTRATORS, STAFF AND STUDENTS

RE: Scheduled network service interruption– Saturday August 15, 2009 starting at 10:00PM

Summary

On Saturday August 15, 2009 starting at 10:00 PM, several critical Microsoft updates will be applied to network servers. After the updates are applied, a reboot of the servers is required. During this reboot, network services will be affected. The expected duration of the maintenance period is 4 hours.

What this means to you:

• Access to email services, including Blackberrys, may be offline
• Access to the interactive portions of the website may be offline (forms)
• Access to law school files on the G and H drives, including remote access, may be offline

We apologize for scheduling a second maintenance period this week, but these are critical security updates for which it would be unwise to wait.
